MISSION STATEMENT
Ranger for a Cure, founded in May of 2007, seeks to enhance the lives of Children who are currently batttling cancer in the Greater Philadelphia area through programs designed to raise money to support Pediatric cancer research and the Oncology Department at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
My name is Chris Young, a 28 year old former United States Army Ranger and Cancer Survivor, and I am asking for your support in helping our community's children's hospital, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), to find a cure for Pediatric Cancer and to continue to provide the best possible treatment for kids in our community who are currently battling this horrible disease.
My battle with cancer has taught me how serious of an illness it is. While I was still a young man myself when diagnosed, I was living my dream and loving every minute of it. Now that I have been given the opportunity to live a life of my choice, I believe that kids who are fighting cancer need to have the same opportunity to live their dream and the life they want to. Cancer is a very serious disease that requires serious treatment, and for a child to have to go through such adversity astounds me. I know that at CHOP they give only the best possible care day-in and day-out to these amazing patients. As a community, we are extremly fortunate to have such an unbelivable place within miles of our homes that gives so much hope and care to people who truly need it.
Please help to give the children of our community battling cancer the opportunity live their dream by offering your support and making a donation.
Thank you,
Ranger for a Cure
